If any of these issues, or similar ones,  are troubling you, a member of your staff, or a close family member of one of your employees, Counselling or Personal Life Coaching can help.  In organisations and companies everywhere, employees are now facing increasing pressures to be both effective at work and to maintain a quality home life. Modern business demands high performance, short response times, long working hours, and heavy workloads.

At home, people face money pressures, family demands, relationship problems, education and child welfare concerns, high lifestyle expectations, and limited time with loved ones and for relaxation and leisure activities.

When an employee has an issue, whether the origin is work or home based, performance in the workplace is likely to be affected. Sickness and absence can increase, while concentration and efficiency may decrease.

Our corporate clients to date include Burtons Foods and Marks and Spencer

The cost of stress in the work place:

Stress-related sickness is widely reported to be a major cause of absence for UK businesses. It is estimated that 13.4 million working days a year are lost through stress, anxiety, and depression, with sickness absence costing over £12 billion, according to the CBI.

Stress and the Law:

The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 requires employers to secure the health (including mental health), safety and welfare of employees whilst at work. Equally, the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999 require employers to assess the risk of stress-related ill health arising from work activities, and to take measures to control the identified risk.

The HSE is planning to include stress as part of their workplace assessments. The courts have acknowledged that an organisation with an employee assistance programme (EAP) has gone a long way in fulfilling its duty of care and responsibilities.

What makes us different to EAP Providers offering a Counselling service?

Many companies offering Counselling services as part of an EAP, will tie you into a contract, and will charge you a fee calculated on how many employees you have, whether or not the employees use the service.

We do not do this, we realise that many smaller organisations are struggling to provide the best support they can for their employees, but are also on tight budgets to stay in business. For this reason, we are willing to see any employee, group of employees, or direct family members, as and when they need to, and we will only charge you for those that actually use the service.

Access to the service will be discussed as part of the contract between yourselves (the organisation) and Here To Listen (The counselling Service)
